I had the luxury of having been asked to restore the late media artist Monika Hoinkis´metronome, part of her “Living with Things”-series, per request of SlowLab.
Presented at SlowLab-curated Design exhibition “Dust, Dialogue and Uncertainty: Slow Knowledge in Design Thinking and Practice” at Pratt Manhattan gallery in New York in December 5, 2014–February 7, 2015.
The task included troubleshooting of the broken system´s electronics, sensors, interaction and arduino-based coding, and its succesful restoration and resoldering.
