Finnish National Opera and Ballet´s “OPERA BEYOND” competition on future of opera. 2nd place/Special prize of 5000 euros for the team.
The Symbioscene group´s concept included a development of a interactive vr installation to be collaboratively co-created with school children, relating to wicked and superwicked problems with climate change, utilizing backcasting to imagine resolved complex futures, based on themes setup by Paula Vesala and conductor Esa Pekka Salonen.
ROLE: Assembler, team lead of an international “Symbioscene” team, concepting.
Team members: Marko Tandefelt, Magnus Pind Bjerre, Rosa Karo, Jon Beilin, Chris Libertino, Jani Hietanen and Kosti Rytkönen.
The team communicated with Australian climate change researcher Glenn Albrecht, relating to his Symbiocene, Solastalgia, Euterria and Biofilm neologisms.
