Finlandia Hall Alvar Aalto exhibition proposal per Haaga-Helia´s request

An exhibition proposal for the Finlandia Hall´s Alvar Aalto exhibition, relating to 200+ years of Töölö Bay history. A paid publicly funded project funded by Haaga-Helia´s service design program.

The proposal included:

  • User experience design, spatial flow, architecture, materials
  • Creation of a light controlled space with ultra black novel round furniture elements
  • Creating content including an ephemereal 3D point cloud visualizations of the Töölö Bay area, with 3D body tracking
  • Utilization of a stereoscopic lightfield 3D Looking Glass screen.
  • Creating a novel ambient presentation consisting of old historical maps depicting the layered development of the area as well as its visualization practices.

ROLE: Team member, Conceptualization, AV techologogy research on most ideal solutions, partnerships, handling custom Blender/Blosm downloads of the core Helsinki City Center as a giant 10gb+ map, for further point cloud visualization and Touch Designer usage.

In a team with Jani Hietanen (Conceptualization, touch designer point cloud 3D visuals, demo visuals) and Antti Soulanto (Conceptualization, Producer).
